Sealed Records Sealed Records is a great little UK label that specializes in mostly 80s anarcho punk stuff. Personally, I’ve picked up: Zounds - Can’t Cheat Karma: Atypical punk with spark, uniqueness, and a great mixing job give this clarity and punch. This deluxe version also contains all five of their 80’s 7”s Iconoclast - Domination or Destruction: Peace HC from California, including that great P.E.A.C.E. comp track Asylum - Is This The Price: Early UK noisecore Rudimentary Peni - S/T and Death Church : This band is amazing. They pushed the envelope for the genre for sure. Might be an acquired taste for punks who like it down the middle. See my separate review. Link: https://sealedrecords2.bandcamp.com/music

Rudimentary Peni Death Church Sealed Records Originally released: 1983 Only just discovered this band, believe it or not, but they would have been in my wheelhouse from the beginning, as I like my HC kind of weird and adventurous at times. They are described loosely as an anarcho band, but they don’t follow the template in the least. You could argue that post punk and goth informs the atmosphere and compositions more so than straight ahead D-Beat or similar. Would recommend for the adventurous punk fan. Subhumans EPLP Pirate Press Records Yes! One of my new favorite bands, I only knew a few of their songs in the old days, but discovered their discography recently, and it is a winner. This first is a collection of their first four 7”s, showing the band at their most “hardcore”, meaning slightly more conventional structures and sounds, but even then, still different than a lot of material around it at the time. They are a great mix of anarcho/ Crass/ experimental/ aggro at this point, and all the material spans 1981-1983. Their entire discog is up right now through their own page, so I may not review all of them, but just know, they are fucking awesome. Link: https://subhumans.bandcamp.com/album/eplp
